Potato Rows Scarf


This soft and elegant scarf can make a great gift for love ones. I made these to donate to our troops.
Suggested yarn: arcylic, wools or mix.
Recommended needles: size suggested in the yarn label
Example: needles size 5.5mm, cast on 25 stiches, scarf width will be approximate 4.5 inches (about 12 cm). Just increase as many set of 4 stitches for larger width.
Row 1: slip 1 purl wise, * k3, sl1 wyif (work yarn in front) *, repeat steps between * to the last 4 sts, k4.
Row 2: slip 1 purl wise, k1, * sl1 wyif, k3 , repeat stitches between * to the last 3 sts, sl1 wyif, k2.
If you would like a little nicer border, you can try the instruction below. The left scarf shows nicer border, the right scarf shows the regular border.

Cast on: 27 stitches
Row 1: k2, * k3, sl1 wyif (work yarn in front) *, repeat steps between * to the last 5 sts, k3, slip 2.
Row 2: p2, k1, * sl1 wyif, k3 , repeat stitches between * to the last 4 sts, sl1 wyif, k1, pull yarn in front, slip 2.
